* MooMoo missed this movie... gonna go search for the movie 'P.S. I Love You' to watch... it's a very sweet story by Cecilia Ahern... one of MooMoo's favourite author... ^=^

Due to not selecting 'Auspicious' Day...

MooMoo is not a superstitious person but seems like today is not a good day to shift stuff to new house.  Hahaha.  Everything was not going very smoothly for MooMoo's part 1 shifting.  MooMoo should have pick a good, auspicious day from the little RED book like what Chicky family did for their new house.

1st, it rained heavily... 2nd, mover keep complaining and dropping MooMoo's stuff.  3rd, mover never care to see if the stuff needs to be handled with care or not coz all are treated equal at the way he shift the stuff.  MooMoo watched till heartache... 4th, the lift at MooMoo's new place is coincidentally faulty... the button for the floor that MooMoo stays is spoilt.  Argghhh!!!! Nightmare.... =p

And lastly, the duplicated house keys that MooMoo's landlady passed to her is not the correct one.  Boo hoo hoo... at the end of the day, the mover just left everything at the hallway and MooMoo had to wait till her landlady came over to rescue... then shifted all the things in with the help from her landlady and Ms. Mo.  MooMoo hope she does not have to shift another time after going through all the hassle.

One of MooMoo's poor box have to be thrown away coz it is no longer in usable shape.  MooMoo hope everything that is fragile are still in good shape coz she haven't got time to inspect them.

Well, thanks to Piggy and Ms. Mo for their help!!!  Hope the part 2 shifting will go smoothly... MooMoo guess it will be better since it's an auspicious day that Chicky family picked... on 26th Dec.  LOL!!

* May the coming next year be a good new year... in this new home... gonna miss Toa Payoh lots... looking forward to the new year, new resolutions, new goals, new home and new challenges... ^=^

Crazy Christmas 2011

MooMoo went to watch 'CRAZY CHRISTMAS 2011' with Piggy and Ms. Mo today.  It was really GREAT and MooMoo loves it a lot.  This is the 2nd time MooMoo watching this production by Dream Academy.  It is very entertaining with all the great casts like Dim Sum Dollies (Selena Tan, Pam Oei & Emma Yong), Kumar, Sebastian Tan, George Chan, Robin Goh, Denise Tan, John Lee and the acapella group Vocaluptuous.  MooMoo really enjoyed herself laughing from the start till the end of the show.

MooMoo took some random pictures during the show... It started with the Superstars 'DimSum Dollies' singing and entertaining with some jokes...

This is the Vocaluptuous team singing some lovely Christmas songs with Dim Sum Dollies, Sebastian, George and Robin.

This is Kumar performing her/his very best 'Stand Up Comedy'... Kumar is really good entertainer but R18... LOL!!!  He was commenting why the 1st few rows were not laughing when the rest are laughing... wondering if the front audiences do not understand and expecting some subtitles....kekeke...

This is when the show ended... everyone really enjoyed themselves laughing and entertained by the beautiful songs sang by the casts.  MooMoo really liked the song sang by John Lee.

Free gifts... in support of Worlds Aids Day... all were given a pair of Red shoe laces... and there's also s free condom in the program book given out... haha...'super thin and soft'...no.1 in japan.... =p

* MooMoo had a nice Saturday watching Crazy Christmas and ending with a scrumptious meal.... despite missing her gym classes due to the SMRT train disruptions the whole morning... lately SMRT train disruptions is the hot topics in Singapore.... ^=^

A day of Marketing cum Sales Officer...

Today was the Christmas Charity Bazaar at MooMoo's company.  MooMoo and her colleagues set up the stall around 10:30am and started selling the 'hand-made' Terrariums at 11am.  At first, MooMoo didn't think that the product will sell that well as a lot of people think that it is expensive.

Anyway, MooMoo and her team actually managed to clear all the stock within 2 hours.  MooMoo spent her morning as a Marketing cum Sales Officer and she was doing it pretty well.  Hahaha.  A lot actually love our products as it was special and they actually asked for more but due to the amount of time required to produce them, we decided not to take in any more orders.  

In total, MooMoo's stall made a nett profit of $1,500++ which actually made the minimum $1,200 target.

Other than a variety of stalls selling from food to clothes, plants to decors, there's also a special stall where the little kids help draw caricature of you.  They looked real cute and the caricatures that they drew are really cute too.  MooMoo and Ms. Mo went to support the stall.  The little girl actually asked Ms. Mo if her mole was permanent or not.  So damn funny.... LOL!!!

MooMoo bought herself a big 'Snowman Jelly' from the Charity Bazaar too.  It's an expensive but nice jelly... Anyway, it's for charity so it's still worth it.  ^=^

It was a very tiring day but a happy one.  MooMoo enjoyed herself.... she ended her a day with a good stretch at her favourite Balance class.  Despite the faulty train service, today was a great day.

* MooMoo's left eye getting swollen badly... hope it will recover by this weekend... eye already very small... now getting even smaller... maybe coz 'No Eye See' already.... =p

Terrarium Project

Recently, MooMoo's office is organizing this 'Christmas Charity Bazaar' to raise $20,000 fund for this Old Folks' Home and MooMoo was being volunteered to setup a stall to sell stuffs.  All the nett profits of our stalls will be donated.  We brainstormed some ideas and ended up with setting up a stall selling "TERRARIUMS".  MooMoo kind of have FUN making the "Terrariums" and at the same time being able to do some charity... though MooMoo had to sacrifice her time despite her busy schedule.  ^=^

What is a "TERRARIUM"?

A Terrarium is a collection of small plants growing in a closed, controlled environment. i.e. in a transparent, sealed container.  It is easy to control and can be used to simulate how an ecosystem works.  i.e. photosynthesis, respirations and the water cycle  The water in the terrarium is constantly recycled, passing from liquid form to gas and back again. As the water get condenses, it will return to the soil to be absorbed by the plants.  Then, they whole cycle repeats itself.  

MooMoo got so excited that she decided to make some for her Christmas Gifts too.  It's really FUN making them and it's easy to make as well.  You can try it out if you have the time.

Items Required

1. Clear glass or plastic container (with/without cover)

2. Small stones (coloured or non-coloured)

3. Small plants

4. Potting Soil

5. Decorative objects (optional)

How to build your Terrarium

1. Place a thin layer (about 1 inch) of small stones at the bottom for drainage.

2. Place a layer of potting soil (about 2 inches).

3. Make small holes for roots and carefully plant your chosen plants in the soil.

4. Scatter coloured stones on top of the potting soil to decorate your terrarium.

5. Lastly, finish it with the decorative objects to make the environment more lively.

6. Lightly water the plants as it does not require too much water.

7. Close the container with the cover or you can keep it open as well.

Here's the materials MooMoo had bought for building the Terrariums for some of her Christmas Gifts.  It's for making altogether 8 Terrariums.  MooMoo took about 3 hours to complete everything including clearing up all the mess.

Although it's quite tiring but when MooMoo saw the output, it's all SMILES.  ^=^  MooMoo made 4 big ones and 4 small ones.  Of course, as you can see...  MooMoo will be keeping the jar with the little MooMoo in it.  Hahaha.

Here's a Top View of the 4 big Terrariums.  Lovely, isn't it?  There's a mixture of different types of plants but do not ask MooMoo the names of the plants as MooMoo do not have 'GREEN' fingers.  MooMoo asked her colleague to help get the plants for her.

And here's the 4 little Terrariums with coloured covers.  MooMoo find the Mini Terrariums are kinda cute and it's really striking with the coloured covers and giant ornaments in there.  Hahaha.

This is the Top view for the 4 small Terrariums.  The choices of the plants are limited because the containers are smaller.  Therefore, have to find mini plants to put in there.  

And lastly, here's some Tips and Guide to care for your Terrarium plants....

1. Light: Keep away from direct sunlight.  Keep away from heated up place to avoid getting roasted.

2. Water: Rule of thumb-always better to be too dry than too wet as it is almost impossible to get rid of excessive water.  Only light watering is required when the soil gets a bit dry.

3. Pruning:  If the leaves are yellowing, you can remove it from the terrarium.

4. Fertilizer:  No fertilization is required as you do not encourage rapid growth.

Well, other than having fun with this "Terrarium Project", MooMoo also learnt new stuff and get to know some colleagues better.  It's not that bad after all.  MooMoo also ended up making 8 Terrariums on her own for gifts.  ^=^

MooMoo will have to do more at work next week to fulfil all the orders before the actual Charity Bazaar next Thursday (15th Dec).  MooMoo will have to sacrifice her lunch time.  Well, no complaints since it's the name of charity.  Hope our stall will make good business and raise more funds!! Ganbatte!!

* MooMoo had a good stretch at Balance class today after being away from GYM the whole week.   How time flies... 3 more weeks of year 2011 left.  Hope it will be a BETTER week next week.  ^=^

Lovely Snow Family... ^=^

Christmas is just round the corner and it's lovely to see all the Christmas lights and decors all being put up on the streets and in shopping malls.  It just easily put up smiles on MooMoo's face.

MooMoo like this 'SNOW-GAL' the most.  She looks so pretty and lovely.  Ms. Mo and Minnie would agree with me since there's 'HEART' shapes on her scarf and there's a 'RIBBON' on her hat.  LOL!!

Looking at all these lovely "Snow Family" makes MooMoo wishing for a "WHITE CHRISTMAS"....

MooMoo went shopping with Piggy just now and we indulge in "Christmas Gingerbread Boy Ice Cream".  It's YUMMY!!!  But sinful... no go gym but still wanna input so much... hahaha...

Eating this 'Gingerbread Boy' makes MooMoo think of the game that Piggy is so addicted to this game called "OvenBreak Infinity".  Piggy played it so much that MooMoo can memorize all the sounds... keep hearing it in her head.  MooMoo not a big fan of gingerbread coz she hated the ginger taste but they just look so cute.

MooMoo's feeling a little BLUE today... maybe coz AV make her a bit sad... there goes the whole week's gym schedule... say buh-bye to Pilates and Balance... and Piggy not around this weekend... maybe it's a blessing in disguise to force MooMoo stay at home to study and do her packing... hahaha...

SCMS 2011 Race Results

MooMoo is impressed as the results is out so fast.  Though it's not a great timing and MooMoo did not beat her personal best timing but she's satisfied with the results as she did not train for it.

* People tell MooMoo the review for "HAPPY FEET 2" was bad but MooMoo think it's a great show.  MooMoo really enjoyed the show even more than "TIN TIN" and "PUSS IN BOOTS".  It's a wonderful show with great insights, personally to MooMoo.  MooMoo love this song a lot as it is from the soundtrack.  The message that MooMoo gets from watching "HAPPY FEET 2" is that....

MooMoo's 2nd Half Marathon & Last Run in Year 2011

This Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon marked the last run of MooMoo in Year 2011 and it's also MooMoo's 2nd Half Marathon.  MooMoo woke up at 430am this morning.

THANK GOD for the beautiful weather this morning... due to the non-stop rain last evening for the whole night, the weather was cooling this morning and Mr. Sun actually woke up late to say hello to everyone.  It really makes a big difference to MooMoo.

Well, MooMoo got very upset during the run coz it was so congested that my friend said that it was like a 'Walkathon' at the 1st 3km of the route as he took 40 mins to complete the 3km.  Hahaha.  They didn't control the crowd very well.  It really turns off MooMoo keep having to stop all the time and there are a couple of times totally stop and can't really move coz massive human jam at Sentosa.

MooMoo almost fainted coz there's no drinks station all the way till after 4km.  Imagine running slopes after slopes and there's no hydration point.  MooMoo saw some people running to the toilet area to drink water.  Overall the route is OK... just that there's never-ending slopes that tortured MooMoo's knees badly.  MooMoo's knees especially her right knee is screaming for help all the way. 

All the complaints stop when MooMoo reached Universal Studio, meeting all the mascot characters.  It really send smiles to MooMoo face when she is happily taking pictures with them.  MooMoo even forgot about her tired legs and hurting knees.  It's really a good idea to be at Universal Studio after running about 10km, which is the 1st part of the race.

MooMoo did enjoy the beautiful scenery along the route and the funny people she met along the run.  

One of MooMoo's friend actually pledge to run for a reason this year... she did some fund-raising for the cats that she loved so much.  She even appear with cats ears running her 21km.  Lovely...

Here's the medal that MooMoo got... her friend even joked that you will need a 'lau hwa' spectacles for old people (equivalent to long-sighted) in order to see the distance that you complete on the medal.  Can you see the distance on the medal?!?  Haha..

Towards the last 1km of the run, suddenly MooMoo hear Barney singing 'If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands!! *clap *clap".... OMG!! So damn funny...  Then, she realize that they are starting the 750m Kids Dash but it was pretty congested that they no longer dash but walk and walk.  The kids were all so cute running, jogging and walking side by side with their parents.  They were all given a mini version of the medals above. 

Overall, MooMoo did enjoy herself running today despite all the things that she dislike.  i.e. running vest, crowd control, drinks station, medal... Thanks to Piggy coming all the way to support despite her healing foot.  * Muahhhhh!!!  Even, Mrs. Chicky is doing 10km this round.  Hahaha.  Too bad, Mr. Chicky escaped.  It's fun with friends.  Anyway, hope SCMS will improve next year. ^=^
