HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014! :)

A short note that MooMoo wrote end of last year:
31.12.2013: last day of the year...

Looking back at all the things that happened throughout the year... Having no regrets, though it was not a smooth sailing year.

MooMoo must be thankful on...
- all the love she received from my loved ones
- all the great food she have eaten
- all the great places she have visited
And all the little things in life.

MooMoo had her happy moments and also the not so happy moments. Cherishing her happy moments and the not so happy moments actually makes her appreciate her happy moments even more.

Met some great people who gives her good memories. Also met some nasty people who gives her lessons and experiences.  Some things just can't change no matter what... Life goes on!

Thanks to all the people who brings joy to her, who is always there for her and always put a smile on her face. 

Looking forward to one great year in 2014! Hope MooMoo will be a better person next year than this year. ; )

MooMoo just got herself a new handphone skin, as she spotted one with a cute Moo-Moo cow.  MooMoo's front protector was just peeling off so just in time to change to a new one.  Looking at it just makes her happy. : )))

Baby Shopping

MooMoo went shopping for baby stuff after work last Friday.  MooMoo always enjoy shopping for babies.  This year, a lot of MooMoo's friend are giving birth, all so productive.  One baby in U.S.A, two babies in Australia, 1 baby in Singapore, 1 baby in KL and 1 baby in Cat City.  Another one is coming soon towards end of this year.  

While happily shopping, MooMoo was telling Tapir that she is 'baby shopping' and Tapir said that it sounds like MooMoo is shopping for babies.  Well, MooMoo wish she could do that, but in her dreams.  Hahaha!  Imagine choosing your babies off the shelf.  So funny! :p

In 1 hour's time, MooMoo finished shopping for 2 babies.  Thumbs up!  It was a good de-stress session doing some retail therapy.  Shopaholic in action! Kekeke

In Loving Memory of MooMoo's beloved Brother

Time really flies... It's one year already... 21st August 2012.

Around this time last year, MooMoo's brother had the most difficult time to go through.  Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal.  Well, one thing for good is that he never had to go through it alone and he managed to say goodbye to all his loved ones before he returned to God's side.

He is dearly missed by everyone who loves him.  Sometimes, MooMoo actually missed his nagging and arguments.  Someone actually reminds MooMoo a lot about him.  Well, MooMoo's brother may no longer be around but he will always stay close to our hearts.... and watching Cutie Pie grow up is like having him near all of us.  Cutie Pie really resembles him.  She is really smart, super stubborn and hot tempered.  She even have a big ego like daddy but she is a real good girl.  If daddy's around, she is sure a 'Daddy's girl'.

Always in our thoughts, Forever in our Hearts.  May you always rest in peace.

Say buh-bye to Bad Hair Day! ^=^

After thinking through for quite some time.... at last, MooMoo decided to chop off all the mess.  She really wanted to keep long hair but it really took ages and she does not have enough patience.  Hahaha!  Well, she have no regrets getting it all short.  She can still grow it back anytime she wants to.  She just need to get it tidy before she goes for her long vacation. ^=^

Thanks to one of her gym buddy to recommend MooMoo the hair stylist.  The hair cut was not cheap but it's worth it.  MooMoo had visited a few stylist before and they all do not dare to cut MooMoo's hair   past shoulder, as MooMoo have a very round and big face.  This new stylist is very daring and she's really good with short hairstyle.  New Look, New Beginning... ^=^

* MooMoo is looking forward to her 'LONG VACATION'!!! Had a GREAT time this weekend and completed her Pilates exam... both theory and practical.... ^=^

Failed Attempt on Tampons

MooMoo have never used tampons before but have been hearing stories on it, whether good or bad.  MooMoo is going for a long 3 weeks trip soon and it definitely would hit the dates.  MooMoo was thinking of either taking medication to delay it or to opt to use tampons.

Therefore, MooMoo decided to try on the tampons option because if take medication, it would be for quite a period.  MooMoo went to check out different types of tampons available in the market.  It is really amazing as there are quite a number of variations.  There were some which comes with cardboard applicator and some with plastic applicator.

After going through a few brands, MooMoo decided to buy Playtex, the one with the plastic applicator and it says it comes with 360 degree protection.  Hahaha!

MooMoo tell you it's really not easy to put in a tampon.  After trying it out, MooMoo decided this is not a good choice for her.  There's so many things to take note and the trouble of putting it in and pulling it out.  =.=!!!  You must make sure you do not sleep with a tampon if you are sleeping for more than 8 hours, else you have the risk of getting "Toxic Shock Syndrome" (TSS).

MooMoo do have some friends who loves to use tampons as they can go exercise freely and even go swimming with it.  You just gotta have some skill putting it at the right spot to feel comfortable.  Well, at least, MooMoo have tried... just too bad, not a good choice for MooMoo.  Else, with tampon she can go for her Balance and Pilates even during her heavy flow.  :p

A man walks into a pharmacy and wanders up and down the aisles. The sales girl notices him and asks him if she can help him. He answers that he is looking for a box of tampons for his wife.  She directs him down the correct aisle. Points Redeemed!

MooMoo was going through her credit card bills the other day and suddenly spotted that her points are going to expire soon this year.  She quickly logged on to redeem the points.

Gosh, MooMoo didn't realize that she actually have 40K++ points.  She happily went online shopping for some vouchers, redeeming all her points.  She managed to redeem the following:

4 GV movie tickets

8 Cathay movie tickets

4 Starbucks voucher

2 Faceshop voucher

1 OG voucher

All the vouchers were received within the week.  That's so cool!  Movie and Starbucks time! ^=^

* So glad it's a FRIDAY today...  countdown 1 more week, MooMoo will be back home... Yippee!!!!

Surprise Gift for MooMoo ^=^

On the 1st day of work in year 2013, MooMoo found a surprise gift on her table.  MooMoo were suppose to be on MC but she decided not to take MC on her 1st day of work in 2013.  The night before, she could not zZz at all as she had high fever and splitting headache.  Well, at least there's something to brighten her day on her 1st day of work.  Haha!

MooMoo could not really make out the spelling of the name of the person who gave MooMoo the present.  Anyway, MooMoo can't think of anyone that give her this present but she is happy to receive it as it is cute with bright colours.  Thank you very much, whoever you are!!! ^=^

MooMoo's 1st Thermometer

MooMoo have never personally owned a thermometer herself but starting from last year, she had owned not only 1 but 2 thermometers.  One is self bought because scolded by a doctor and another is a Christmas present from Ms. Mo.  I wonder receiving a thermometer as a present is a jinx or not?!?  Hahaha... just kidding, Mo as MooMoo do not believe in all these pantang rules.  Anyway, it had a cute COW face on top of the thermometer.

Let MooMoo tell you how she got her 1st thermometer.... it was like couple of months back when MooMoo 1st got her fever and she visited the doctor at Raffles Medical.  It was the 1st time meeting the doctor and MooMoo was like freezing cold on the outside and burning hot on the inside.  That time, she was having high fever.

Doc: What happen to you?

Moo: Fever... *cough cough...

Doc: Hmm... look that side... don't come so near... (while he wanna check temperature) Wahh... so high the temperature... must not infect me... I'm old dy... cannot take it... not like you still young...

Moo: O... K... *really feel like giving him the death stare.... dunno what kinda doc behave this way....

Doc: How come you never measure your own temperature?!?

Moo: Err... I don't have a thermometer... that is why I'm here to see the doctor....

Doc: How can one not have a thermometer at home?!? Every Singaporean should have a thermometer...

Moo: Err... I am not a Singaporean.

Doc: Issit ah.... (look at my NRIC and name on the medical card) But you're an 'S'.... (referring to my NRIC 1st digit)

Moo: Yea... hahaha.... * really feel like telling him.... you're an 'ASS'... but no energy to argue any further... just wanna get my MC and go back to sleep....

After the doctor visit, MooMoo went to Guardian to buy herself a thermometer and keep checking her temperature to make sure it go down.  She asked her Singaporean friends... well not everyone have a thermometer at home. :p  Guess if they have a kid, they will have a thermometer on standby.

After getting the thermometer, MooMoo have been diligently using it.  OMG!!! It's not a good thing after all.  She had fever towards the end of the year to end year 2012 and she got Mr. Fever knocking on her door again on the 1st day of New Year... till now. = (((

MooMoo hope she will say bubye to Mr. Fever soon as it is already the 4th day.  Highest temperature went up to 39.2 and it had been lingering up and down from 37.7 to 38.3.  Luckily, physically MooMoo still feel fine.  May GOD bless me to get through this and be healthy and well throughout the rest of the year.

MooMoo loves DAISO

MooMoo loves DAISO a lot.  She can spend quite some time lingering at the shop and trying not to buy anything.  Hahaha!  Anyway, MooMoo thinks that most of the stuff there is a good buy for $2 and it is quite durable.  For instance, MooMoo had bought this hand charge torch from Daiso about 8 months ago, to utilise it in Tibet.  It is a really cool gadget where it does not require any batteries.  You just need to recharge it by releasing the side bar and keep pressing it a few times with your hands, in order to store the power to be used for many days.

The other day, MooMoo went to soak her backpack without checking thoroughly on all the pockets of the backpack.  The torch was inside one of the small pocket and it was soaked together overnight.  When MooMoo rinse the backpack, she realised about the torch and quickly took it out to dry at the sun.  Amazingly, it is still working now!!!  FYI, this torch is not waterproof.  Haha. Thumbs Up!!! ^=^

* Guess sometimes quality does not really have to be determined by the prices we pay... but of course, we cannot expect super quality stuff with super cheap price...  things have to be reasonable as well... Haha!  ^=^

311212: Last day of year 2012

Looking back at what MooMoo have done so far in year 2012.  Well, it have not been a great year for MooMoo but it was a year of great learning and experiences that makes MooMoo grow along the way.

These are some of the things that MooMoo have learned or gained in year 2012:

1. Met some nasty people whom made MooMoo learnt her lessons on how to deal with difficult people by not behaving just equally nasty like them.  It is really a self empowerment to let these people affecting you and your mood, knowingly that you cannot control their actions but you can control your own actions.  (Points to ponder: Sometimes, we can be the 'difficult people' in other people's lives?!?)

2. Known and met some great people whom made MooMoo feels great in various ways.  Great friends from far and near, whom provide continuos support especially during down moments, great instructors whom provide great classes for MooMoo, some great people whom gave MooMoo some enlightenment and AHA moments, and some great people whom help MooMoo in small little ways, which made a big difference in her life.  MooMoo can consider herself lucky to be surrounded with these wonderful people.

3. MooMoo's challenging completion in her 1st Full Marathon.  It was the 1st and hopefully not the last, and definitely not the best as she did not do consistent training for her preparation.  It was quite a mental challenge completion running half the race in heavy rain and walking for more than 10km in pain.  Well, MooMoo is still glad that she is able to complete it.  "Mind over Body"

4. MooMoo's expedition to Tibet.  It was really a lifetime experience going on that adventure with a friend and another 2 friends of hers.  Through the 3 weeks journey in Tibet, MooMoo really learns a lot and see things more differently.  MooMoo managed to conquered the holy mountain, Mt. Kailash 52km trekking of 3 days 2 nights in 2 days 1 night at the max high altitude of 6714m.  It was really tough with the Altitude sickness symptoms and stamina is nothing when you are lacking of oxygen.  Anyway, the trip was worth it for the beautiful sceneries and experiences, though some parts of it is considered sufferings for some.  Met 2 new great friends on that trip.  Although MooMoo is a Catholic, she really likes Dalai Lama's teachings and quotes.   One of his quote "In the practise of tolerance, one's enemy is the best teacher."

5. Loss of MooMoo's beloved brother.  This was something that MooMoo and family didn't expect that it would come so soon though it is something that cannot be avoided for his stage.  This made MooMoo realize that how 'Life is short' and we really got to cherish every moment and live life to the fullest.  Some things just don't have to take it so seriously, as at the end of the day, it may not be that important after all.  It would be great dying without any regrets.  MooMoo just wish that Cutie Pie will grow up healthily and happily.

6. Discover a new hobby: Balloon Sculpting.  Just something fun to entertain the kids.  No plans to change job to be a full time clown or balloonist.  Haha!  It could be fun entertaining people and making them happy, making balloons sculpture for them.  It's always good to continue to learn new things to keep the brains working.  

7. Letting go of the burden that has been bothering MooMoo for 2 years.  It certainly makes MooMoo feel better after talking things out, though never pursuing who is at fault.  Whatever that has happened had already happened and cannot be changed.  Therefore, there's no point pursuing further on the past as we cannot change the past.  "Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending." --- Carl Bard

8. A fulfilling trip with whole family during Christmas, away on a cruise.  Actually, what really matters is not the place but the gathering of the whole family together to spend some quality time together; eating and chatting together.  Cherish your family and do try spend more time with them, while you can.  Of course, it may not be easy for some with tight schedule at work and some others with certain commitments but definitely, if we put some effort to it, there is always a way to that. "If it is important, you will always find a way."

These are some areas MooMoo should further improve on next year 2013:

1. Stop Procrastinating! Sometimes, you will end up killing yourself.

2. Feed the soul at all times.  Body without a soul is nothing.

3. Flexibility... in both daily lives and physically.

4. Stop being so honest all the time! Sometimes, a little lie won't hurt you but the whole truth makes people unhappy...

5. Be more organized and take control in things!

MooMoo was sick on the last day of year 2011 and today on the last day of 2012, she is also sick.  Haha! Is this a routine on how to end each year?  MooMoo hopes that next year things will be different, with a "NEW" MooMoo.  Ganbatte!!! ^=^

A lot of people have been posting in Facebook about the end of the world, which is just a day away.  Well, there's also a lot of questions being asked, such as...

- What will you want to do if it's the last day?

- Who do you want to be with?

- What do you want to eat?

- What will be your last wishes?

- What you regret not doing?

etc...

Hahaha, MooMoo guess if the world really comes to an end, there's nothing we could do about it.  Anyway, MooMoo will have no regrets since she will be going home to spend time with her family for one last time before the year 2012 ends.  MooMoo have faith that the world will not come to an end so soon.  MooMoo will leave that to God's hands and not worry so much about it.  Life goes on...

Forgive and Forget

MooMoo did something out of the norm today.  It is really something that MooMoo also could not imagine that she did that.  Anyway, it had been 2 years+ and after much thinking, MooMoo decided to just sort things out and move on.  At one time, MooMoo thought she can just forget about it, ignore it and just move on but she is wrong, as it does still bother her sometimes.

It is always not easy to forgive and forget.  Sometimes we says that we forgive and forget but deep inside we still hold a grudge and it still makes us unhappy when it pops up in our mind.  When one actually decides to forgive and forget, there is no point to further find faults with each other and decide who is right and who is wrong.  It is no longer important. 

MooMoo felt a relief after talking things through and it was not that bad after all.  It was better than what MooMoo expected.  Thank God for the courage and everything! ^=^

Guess sometimes throughout life, certain things, events and people comes into our lives and teaches us different things, as well as provide us different experiences, which will make us grow.  Sometimes we learn things the hard way.  Anyway, everyday is a learning experience, till the day we have our last breathe.  Maybe up till then, we still continue to learn in another world.  Haha!

Nail Spa for MooMoo

MooMoo went a manicure and pedicure with "Minnie Mouse" to pamper herself.  Guess she went a bit too early that the manicure could not last till the wedding dinner she had to attend 1 week later.  Hahaha!  In the end, MooMoo had to do the manicure herself once more before the wedding dinner.

It's nice to do it once awhile but not too often as it is not cheap.  MooMoo love to do all these painting of nails but not on herself.  She prefers to do it for others.  MooMoo used to paint Piggy's nails but too bad she is so far away now.  Cutie Pie likes all these mani and pedi too.  Everytime she sees MooMoo's painted nails, she would say,"Kuku, I want colours."  Hahaha!

The painted toe nails looks like yummy candies.  The colours on the toe nails lasted longer than the ones on the finger nails.  It is still there after coming to a month.

The nail saloon have all types of design.  Some are so cute!  They even have bunny design as well as the cow design.  Maybe MooMoo should do the cow designs on all her 10 fingers.  LOL!

* Every now and then, we should take some time to pamper ourselves.  It can be anything and it can be something free as well.  Sometimes, pampering yourself can just merely means taking some time off to relax yourself away from all those stressful stuff.  It works wonder.  Go ahead and take some time to pamper yourself! ^=^

Say buh-bye to Old and Hello to New :p

It's time to say 'Buh-bye' to MooMoo's old leather working shoes.  Thank you for serving MooMoo all these years through rain or shine and keeping MooMoo comfy all the time.  Guess you're doing such a good job that MooMoo wore you everyday till you died out so fast.  MooMoo had tried rescuing you visiting the cobbler to sew you up but now it's giving way at other parts, so it's really time to bid farewell.  MooMoo bought a new pair today after hunting for awhile... and finally, decided to get from the same brand.  MooMoo always love Hush Puppies!!! ^=^

Say 'Buh-bye' to Old Hush Puppies and say 'HELLO' to New Hush Puppies.  This new pair is very comfortable as well... the leather is so soft and comfy.  Hope it can server MooMoo for at least 2-3 years.  It's always not easy for MooMoo to find one comfy, right pair to fit her 'BIG FEET'.  :p

Yeah!!! New shoes to work tomorrow.  Hope it will be a great week ahead... Ganbatte!!!  ^=^

* Didn't do any GYM classes today but felt extremely tired... maybe tired out over the 2 days of company D&D and Lego outing... :p

10 minutes S$10 just cut - MooMoo's 1st time

Today, for the 1st time, MooMoo went for a hair cut at QB House.  MooMoo just needed a trim on her current 'crazy woman' hairstyle but just didn't have the time to visit her usual hair stylist and she really cannot stand her messy hair no more.  Therefore, she decided to drop by QB House nearby.

All you got to do, is just to slot in your S$10 note in the machine and you will get a card as below.  Then, you just sit by the side and wait for your turn.  Luckily, today there was no queue.  Usually, there can be quite a long queue... but most of the customers are usually guys.  

Well, never try, never know... It's not that bad as expected after all... It was pretty a good experience and the staff were friendly.  MooMoo's hair cut is less than 10 minutes coz she only did the trimming and tidying up of her hair.  The hair stylist even advise MooMoo to rebond her hair if she wants to keep it long.  Haha!

*  MooMoo's shopping therapy this whole weekend but didn't buy anything for herself... most of the stuff are all Cutie Pie's... missing GYM lots coz still coughing away... hope it will be better tomorrow... =p

Why would Kids want a Cleaning Set?!?

Cutie Pie have been wanting to have a "Cleaning Set" for awhile... since about few months back.  Earlier on, MooMoo went around some toy shops to hunt for the cleaning set.  It was not really easy to find.  MooMoo guessed that maybe kids in Singapore just do not fancy this kind of toys, when they already have a maid to help them do all the cleaning. Haha!  Anyway, MooMoo don't recall that kids her time play with such toy.

Cutie Pie just loves to help out MooMoo's mommy in washing the dishes and cleaning the house.  Therefore, MooMoo's mommy requested MooMoo to buy her a "Cleaning Set".  After going to a few shops, MooMoo finally found it at United Square at Novena.

It's really amazing!  They have all types of toys there for kids to play and to learn stuff.  There are many types to choose from but some are not cheap.  They have stuff like the kitchen set, ironing set, barbeque set, icing cake set, sewing machine, baking set, cleaning set, etc...

MooMoo didn't buy it on the spot the other day as she could not decide which set to buy... simple one? with the push-kart one? or the one with push-kart and vacumn cleaner?  Gosh, it's complicated... Hahaha!  At the end of the day, MooMoo found one good set with a reasonable price today.  MooMoo can't wait to show Cutie Pie her new toy.  

Maybe MooMoo should just keep it till her birthday next year.  Else, it will be like every month is her birthday when MooMoo goes back home.  Haha!  = p

* Is it wrong for ADULT to play with TOYS also?  Guess there's no rules to say that TOYS are only for KIDS... LOL!!!  MooMoo personally think that there's nothing wrong with it as there's always this little kid inside each one of us, whether we show it or not.  Well, as long as you're happy, just be yourself and never fear to bring out the little kid inside of you, when you feel like it...  ^=^

Hit 10K in 10 months?!?

MooMoo is really "CRAZY" when it comes to taking pictures...  her iPhone's photos just hit the 10K mark in less than 1 year, as she got her phone in October 2011.  MooMoo really gotta clean up her photos before her iPhone fail on her.  = p

Rest In Peace (R.I.P.)

God really heard MooMoo's prayers and actually brought MooMoo's brother home with him.

It's pretty funny that MooMoo could not sleep today... tossing and turning... MooMoo usually do not have a problem to zZz like a pig but she just keep having funny dreams and could not zZz.  At around 4am, she suddenly awoke and check her phone and she saw a message from her mom that said, "I think your bro have gone back..."  MooMoo is a bit stunned after reading the message as earlier on, we were just discussing about him going back to hospital for checkup in the morning.

Anyway, MooMoo thinks it's still the best for her brother to go back home to God than to hang on here with all of us, for further sufferings.  Thank God for ending his sufferings and pain that he has gone through.  Thank God for letting MooMoo see him the very last time and bid him farewell.

How much does it takes to care for your loved ones?

Recently, MooMoo just went back home for a few days.  MooMoo realized that her house had turned into a mini clinic with all the medicines, chemicals, syringes, etc.  There's really a lot of learning in order to take care of your sick loved ones at home.

It is always easier to care for your loved ones when everyone's just healthy and living well.  Things would be just so different when your loved ones as sick or dying.  People always say that it's always so easy to find someone who loves you and share happiness with you... but when it comes to sharing sufferings and go through hard times with you, it is more difficult.  Then, when you're in your death bed, you will know who are the ones that really care for you.

How much are you willing to sacrifice for your loved ones?  In this current world, not many who are willing to sacrifice for their loved ones... sad but true... some love for a reason and expect more than giving... if you were to love 100%, would you expect 100% of love in return?  It is rarely happening... therefore, some would rather not love 100%.  Of course, there are some out there who gives 100% or more and never expect anything in return, which is great.

If your loved ones are dying on their death bed, would you take leave or quit your job just to be with your loved ones throughout his/her remaining life?  Or would you just still go to work like normal?  Guess this would be all up to each individual's priority in life and how much does your loved ones mean to you in life.  Career VS Loved ones?!? = p  Is just providing $$$ enough?!?  Or you just need to spare some of your valuable time, care and love?!?

MooMoo's brother is now basically living on the nutrition pack through Intravenous (IV) Drip, as he no longer can intake any food.  It is really saddening to see him so weak and fragile.  MooMoo was really shocked that each time she visited him, he lost so much weight that she almost could not recognised him.  MooMoo almost teared when she helped him massage his super thin hands and legs.

No matter how great or how tough one person is, when you're sick and dying... everyone would be the same... as you will be weak and fragile, like a baby.  Guess that's how God made us all.

MooMoo have never been super close with her brother since young but she knows that her brother does love her a lot, in his own ways.  Though MooMoo always quarrel with her brother, she still loves him so.  It was pretty shocking when MooMoo's brother actually requested her to hold his hand for at least 1/2 hour without letting go... as far as MooMoo recall, she never really hold his hand... only when they were still little kids.  MooMoo grew up in a very Asian Chinese family, which is not very open with hugging and kissing each other, as a family member.  With his ego, he would have never ask MooMoo to hold his hand but MooMoo realized that he has changed so much physically and mentally.

Of course, MooMoo agreed to hold her brother's hand for at least 30 minutes without letting go.  MooMoo controlled herself trying not to tear in front of him and spent some time talking to him.  The way he have spoken is like bidding farewell.  MooMoo is always scolding him for giving up so easily but after spoken to him, guess it may be good for him to be off from all the pain as soon as possible.  It has been very tough on him going through all the never-ending pain and sufferings.  He is also worrying on the cost spent on him, living such a meaningless and painful life.

MooMoo really don't know what is right and what is wrong... Is it wrong to decide when you should go off yourself as you have enough?  In Catholic beliefs, it may be wrong as it is seen as taking your own life when God's the one who determines when you die?!?  Is it right to support the decision if he choose to let go?!?  Is it good that we keep making him to hang on and suffer futher?!?

Anyway, MooMoo just hope the best for him and may God release him from all the sufferings and pain that he goes through as soon as possible.  May God grant him peace when it's his time.

* Living a LIFE may not be 'FREE'... especially when you're sick... When MooMoo was younger, she used to think of $$$ as very BIG.... Then, she learnt that $$$ is not everything and to her, it's not that important after all... BUT can one live a LIFE without $$$?!?  *Sigh*
