Today, MooMoo went to the 'Kieser Training' Open House with some of her friends after work. They have invited a special guest speaker, a physiotherapist to give a talk on 'The Importance of Muscular Balance' and explained on different muscular imbalance that people usually have that can caused different types of pains and immobility. It was a pretty interesting topic but maybe it wasn't presented that well, as good presentation skills always can create a better impact.
After the talk, MooMoo and friends went for a free pre-back test evaluation. All were required to fill up some questionnaires and the in-house doctor did some test on all of us to see how strong are muscles are. It was a pretty interesting test and you never know that you are so weak at certain parts when you think you are so strong all the time. Or it could be the other way around.
At certain point of the test, the doctor will ask you to try your very best with all your strength to lift up your legs or arms while he forces them down... and sometimes, you end up not being able to do that eventhough he does not use much force at all. Instead, when the doctor put some pressure on the nerves at your spine and requested you to do the same thing again, you are able to do it much better. It could also be the other way round where you can be strong and when the doctor puts pressure on your nerves, you become weaker. It was real amazing!
Guess, that's why they always say "PLEASE DON'T GET ON MY NERVES!" Hahaha.... The nerves really plays an important role here.
After all the test, the doctor roughly know where the problems are and had identified all the weak areas that need to be worked on.
MooMoo had pretty weak lower back as expected. Hope all these can fix it all and she can be stronger after that. One interesting finding that night... is the MooMoo's left leg is shorter than her right leg. No wonder she always have problem with her right knee when running. The doctor mentioned that whatever pain MooMoo have on other parts of her body could be caused by her lower back itself, which is the primary problem. Hope by fixing her back, the rest will be cured naturally. ^=^
* What is 'STRONG'?
- Opposite of Weak?
- Great Bodily or Muscular Power?
- Mentally Powerful or Vigorous?
- Equal to 'SUPERMAN'?
- Or It can just simply means to be able to have the mobility like normal even when you ages throughout your life... having all the Independence without having to rely on others to move about and do the daily activities... ^=^
