Today MooMoo visited the Singapore Zoo again. MooMoo cannot recall how many times she have been to Singapore Zoo but this time she actually go there for a volunteer event. MooMoo have signed up for this volunteer event by her company to bring old folks and intellectually disabled kids to the Zoo.
It was pretty a good experience and MooMoo did have fun with the kids. All the volunteers were divided into teams to bring the old folks and kids to watch a show at the Zoo and bring them walk, walk around the Zoo.
It's pretty sad to see these little kids and makes MooMoo reflect on all the times that she have not been grateful for all the things that she have. The kids were all very innocent looking and it must be real tough on them growing up trying to be as normal as the rest of the kids. Most of the times, while we are complaining about our looks and all, these kids do not have a choice and they are often being bullied and verbally abused. MooMoo guess in this modern materialistic and realistic world, it would be hard not only for them but even for normal people. People are usually judged by their looks very much.
Anyway, MooMoo is real happy to see all the kids smiling and laughing happily at the Zoo. They really enjoyed the outing though some of them complained of being too tired. There's 2 students in MooMoo's team were very cute as both keep tagging to MooMoo closely. They just want you to hold their hands throughout as they feel safe when you hold their hands.
There's this kid there that make MooMoo quite speechless...when she say and ask things like...
... Am I going to see you again tomorrow?
... Are you going back with us?
... I like you
... My father just passed away
... We called the ambulance
... I am very sad
MooMoo just feel like giving her a big hug. At least, MooMoo saw that she was happy at the Zoo.
Here's a picture of MooMoo's team of students but missing 2 kids, not in the picture. Aren't they all so cute?!? Some of them can be real naughty too but all are quite obedient.
MooMoo could not resist when she saw the Ben&Jerry's cows sitting at the entrance of the Zoo... so she snapped a picture of the cows, "MooMoo@Singapore Zoo". Hahaha... ^=^
After the afternoon outing, MooMoo went back to office to work. Initially plan to go for a stretch at Balance class but ended up at home coz feeling tired and hungry. MooMoo must get rid of the "Lazy Bug" coming back to attack... must force herself out of bed for a morning run tomorrow!!!
* Some random quotes that MooMoo like...

"A strong mind always hopes, and has always cause to hope." ---Thomas Carlyle
"A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely." ---Roald Dahl
"Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine."---Anthony J. D'Angelo.
