Gosh... MooMoo's a bit blur blur dy... she thought that this event was the 2nd Half Marathon but in actual fact, it is already the 3rd Half Marathon. The 1st was the Adidas Sundown 2011 and 2nd was the Standard Chartered Marathon 2011.
MooMoo didn't get enough zZz the day before the run. She only slept less than 3 hours. Does it count if she add in the 3 hours from the afternoon nap?!? Hahaha. She woke up around 3am+... bath, change and get ready... even had a light breakfast before heading to catch her shuttle bus at 4:15am.
MooMoo reached the event place around 4:45am and the sky was still pretty dark but a lot of people were already there. MooMoo felt so sleepy and hungry, though she ate some biscuits in the morning. The downside was that her Aunty was already knocking on the door. = (
The run actually started at 6am and MooMoo took the 2nd wave which started around 6:10am. While waiting for her friend, she walked around the race event place... look, look and see, see... go toilet and hydrate... drink some water before heading to the starting point.
At the starting point, everyone very eager to start the race. Well, MooMoo thinks that this event was very well organized. The baggage area were managed well. The race route were great and they even paved the grass route with carpets to avoid the uneven ground. There were drinking points along the route at every 2km. MooMoo personally like the every 1km marker throughout the race though she knows that Ms. Mo didn't really like it. Different personality... A "J" versus a "P" or a "S" versus a "T"... Haha! Hmm... overdose with this MBTI stereotyping now after training... = p
Thank GOD for the beautiful weather today that MooMoo could complete her run in 1 piece, despite running together with her aunty. Phew!!! There's no sight of Mr. Sun all the way till MooMoo complete the race. MooMoo just gotta keep motivating herself throughout the whole race to keep herself going. She kept thinking about her brother and this made her go even further.
MooMoo tried going slow and steady for the 1st 10km and it worked quite well that she didn't get tire out so easily for the 2nd half of the race. She managed to run all the way and stop only for hydration. Guess thanks to her friend for training with her. Although she didn't clock enough mileage, the training does help. She will need to work harder till running 21km is like running a 10km. Then, the coming Full Marathon will not be a difficult task. LOL!
MooMoo really don't understand why is it so hard to throw the empty cups in the dustbin provided... and come to think of it, they joined this race to support the "Save the Earth" event. Hahaha. They just simply throw the cups on the road. MooMoo can't stand this disgusting guy... he actually spit while running. OMG! If his spit actually got MooMoo, think she will kill him. Hahaha.
MooMoo like this phrase along the route that says, "We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, but we borrowed it from our Children". Nice!!! ^=^
Towards the last 1km, MooMoo almost gave up and started to walk a bit but in the end, she decided to buck up and finish up the last lap... so she ran all the way to the finishing line for the last 500m. Amazingly, think she got her PB this round but she will wait for the official timing to confirm. Really can't believe it, MooMoo did better running with her aunty?!? Crazy... =p
MooMoo likes the medal for this Run350. It is so much nicer than the cheapskate U-Run medal. It feels good to be rewarded with a nice medal at the finishing line. There's also a Finisher-T for the half marathon. This is the front and back of the 21km Finisher-T. This round the finisher T is quite nice in material, by BodyNits. Well, after all it's a GREAT run together with aunty.
MooMoo was so tired after the run, she didn't even complete it with her usual gym routine but went back home straight to zZz. There goes her weekend. Time really flies! =p
* May this coming week be a good week ahead and there's more changes to come... for better or worse?!? we will see... LOL! ^=^
