SIO BEE got FAME even at Kimchi-land...

Last weekend, while MooMoo was steaming the dumpling and sio bee she brought back from KL (but origin from Kuching) ,she thought of Piggy's friend who is so crazy about the 'Cat City' Sio Bee. Then, she decided to snap some pictures and blog about it. Pardon the quality of the pictures due to the lighting and MooMoo's handphone camera.

Anyway, back to the 'SIO BEE'. MooMoo's not sure what it is called in English or maybe there's no such name for it in English. 'SIO BEE' is a Hokkien language and this is very famous in Cat City and you can get it almost at any kopitiam (coffeeshop) BUT if you want good ones, there's only a few shops that are famous.

MooMoo usually go to the one at 'Open Air Market', which is just opposite 'Electra House'. If you happen to be in Kuching, do drop by there and eat the 'SIO BEE' dipped in the special chilli sauce and drink the fresh soya bean drink. The size of the 'SIO BEE' used to be much bigger and it is selling at RM0.50 but now the size had shrunk a bit and the price had increased to RM0.60.

The last time MooMoo went back to visit Cat City in May, she brought back some 'SIO BEE' order for her hommies and Piggy actually ordered 50 pieces and brought it to Kimchi-land. Guess what?!? Her colleagues love is sooo very much that they were even thinking of flying to Cat City to get the 'SIO BEE' and asked if there were any courier service to send the 'SIO BEE' to them.... OMG!!! They are really crazy.... Hahaha... And Piggy ask if I'm HAPPY and PROUD that the 'SIO BEE' is so famous all the way to Kimchi-land. LOL!!! =p

Well, MooMoo got Piggy the 'SIO BEE' uncle's handphone number. Wish them all the best of luck!!! Hope they successfully get the uncle to send them boxes of 'SIO BEE' supply all the way to Kimchi-land. Hmmm... I wonder how much it would cost them?!? Hahaha...

'SIO BEE' anyone?!? By the way, it is known as 'SIEW MAI' in Cantonese but the taste for both are just different. You just gotta try it yourself. Personally, I like 'SIO BEE' better. ^=^

* Yummy!!! Blogging about this makes MooMoo hungry... she still got 1 Dumpling and 4 Sio Bee left... can go steam them now... hahaha...
