SMILE

"SMILE" by Nat King Cole

Smile though your hear is aching
Smile even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying

Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile, if you just smile
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile, if you just SMILE.

* This song is based on an instrumental theme in the soundtrack for the 1936 Charlie Chaplin movie and it is composed by Charlie Chaplin himself.  The original singer is Nat King Cole but subsequently is sung by Michael Jackson and it is one of Michael's favourite song.  Listening to this song when a bit down, does cheer you up a bit.  'SMILE' and there will be a better tomorrow.  Is it that hard to tickle ourselves sometimes?!?  Haha  : )))

12.12.12 - A day to remember?

Today, MooMoo's company had a communication session plus Christmas celebration.

They actually invited this trainer for a motivational talk to do some brain-washing to inject more positive vibes into all staff.  Well, personally it really motivated MooMoo but not sure if it's the right or wrong directions.  Hahaha.

Some things that the trainer mentioned did make MooMoo thinking and pondering...

1. F.E.A.R - False Evidence Appearing Real...  Sometimes, we just got to face our fear and not all the times, the fear is bad, as we could possibly transform our fear into courage.  Some fear may just be something we create ourselves subconsciously.

Something interesting MooMoo found online:

- You are not scared of the dark; you are scared of what's in it.
- You are not afraid of heights; you are afraid of falling.
- You are not afraid of people around you; you are just afraid of rejection.
- You are not afraid to love; you are just afraid of not being loved back.
- You are not afraid to let go; you are just afraid to accept the reality that he's gone.
- You are not afraid to try again; you are just afraid of getting hurt for the same reason.

2. Avoiding Pain VS Seeking Pleasure - "Life is what you make it".  Well, it is true that it's human nature that we will avoid pain and seek pleasure but sometimes, we cannot just keep seeking pleasure without going through the pain.  There must be always a balance to it.

3. COMPASSION (empathy; emotional in nature) - which consist of 3 parts:
- Compass - for target and direction. "Think with an IDEAL end in mind".
- Passion - do things with a purpose. i.e. Why are you doing what you are doing?
- Ion - the actions that get everything done.

4. Doing something with PASSION definitely makes a great deal of difference from doing something without passion.  It is the greatest thing to do what you love and love what you do.... at the same time earning money for doing what you are doing.  Haha.

5. The difference between Poor, Good, Best, Excellent and Exceptional:  It is a big step between Poor, Good, Best and Excellence but it is just a small little step from Excellent to Exceptional.  A little difference which can make a huge difference.

6. Nobody will remember what you say or what you do... but everyone will remember how you made them feel.  This is so very TRUE!

7. If today were you're last day to live, would you still be doing what you are doing now?!?  If you're answer is NO, do something about it now!

8. We cannot live and do everything alone.  We need teamwork and everyone to work together to succeed.  You cannot build a family alone.  You cannot build a community alone.

Lastly, MooMoo thinks that if you want to CARE, do it because you really DO CARE and do it with your HEART.... and not because you have to and you are asked to do it.  = p

Well, MooMoo did enjoy the motivational talk today and each staff were given $10 voucher, plus a bag of cookies for door gift.  MooMoo actually won $20 voucher but she didn't get to claim it as she left the office earlier.  Nothing to lose... as MooMoo had fun meeting up Ms. Mo after work for a short last minute shopping session.  It had been quite some time since she last went shopping with Ms. Mo.

* Which is more important: Passion VS Money?!? What do you think?!?  Hahaha  :p

A quote from 'The Last Lecture'

"When you're screwing up and nobody says anything to you anymore, that means they've given up on you."..."You may not want to hear it, but your critics are often the ones telling you they still love you and care about you, and want to make you better." --- The Last Lecture

MooMoo finds that it is quite TRUE.  If people do not care, they would not give a damn about you.  Sometimes, people just care in a way that you may not be able to accept it or just different from the way you expected it.  MooMoo guess that sometimes, if we take some time to stand in other people's shoes, we could actually understand people and the situation better.  Some critics, as much as we do not like to hear it, could really make us improve further, whether directly or indirectly.  Something to ponder on...

Anyway, "The Last Lecture" is a very inspiring book that MooMoo have read somewhere last year.  It is written by Randy Pausch, a Computer Science lecturer whom have written some life lessons that he wanted his children to know before his life was taken away by the Pancreatic Cancer.  The book is often compared with another book by Mitch Albom called "Tuesdays with Morries".  Both books are a good read so if you're free, you can go check it out. ^=^

* Time really flies... 3 more weeks to go and it's time to bid year 2012 farewell... MooMoo had a GREAT Duo Step class today... should be the last Duo Step for year 2012... ^=^

Part of Growing Up

MooMoo happened to stumble upon this quote while browsing online and finds it pretty interesting.... something that fits into recent happenings.  :p

* It's been 3 months.... 21.11.2012...

These few days, MooMoo have been coming home earlier to rest... hoping to recover from her 'ahem' and 'dripping' as soon as possible.... :p

Confront your FEARS

So easy to say,
So difficult to do.
But until you face your fears,
you're always looking back.
You're a diminished version of yourself.
Do it by degrees,
do it with the help of others,
but stare down your fears,
Watch yourself grow as the fears shrink.

"I'm never afraid of what I know." --- Anna Sewell

* MooMoo had a GREAT workout today doing 2 special STEP classes for Deepavali holidays.  ^=^  It was Duo Step and Multi Step.  Her aching legs felt better today.  Not a good idea to do 9km on Sat evening and 21km on Sun morning, back to back, without any training. :p

Prayers

It's been quite some time since MooMoo diligently goes to mass every week and praying daily consistently.  Since MooMoo have decided to start a new journey of faith with God, she will need to work towards it.  Nothing will come with no effort at all, as it takes both sides to make things work.

Last Sunday morning, MooMoo actually made an effort to wake up for Sunday morning mass.  Hope this will be a consistent routine from now on.  MooMoo's cell group buddies actually buzzed her to remind her on the mass.  Well, she must work towards going on her own without having to be reminded.  But, sometimes it is always good that your buddies gives you a nudge or a push or two just to encourage you to go further, especially when the going gets tough.

MooMoo have bought herself some stuff while at the church bookshop, as she reached a bit earlier.  MooMoo bought a crucifix to stick at her bedside for prayers.
MooMoo have also bought herself a simple prayer book and a rosary prayer book.  The little rosary does not come with it.  Haha.
MooMoo wanted to buy the Daily Gospel prayer book for year 2013 but they do not have it.  Her friend actually gave her a copy from year 2009 for reference.  MooMoo will try to get it when she's back in KL churches.  Guess nowdays, MooMoo can also actually download all these prayer apps in her iPhone but she still like the feeling of reading the actual book instead of online.  Hahaha.
Payers does work wonder.  It could keep one peace at heart.  A prayer a day keeps the devil away?!?  Hahaha.  It is always good to consistently pray everyday but it does take a lot of commitment as well.  Well, if MooMoo can diligently go to gym almost everyday, there's no excuse or reason to say that she can't schedule some prayer time each day.  It is like God is your family member and you need to spare some time for him and not only spend time with him when you have spare time.
The praying bears are so cute!  The one in white is a birthday gift from a friend while the one in pink, MooMoo just bought on Sunday, as it came with the little rosary in the hands.  Praying together is a great thing, where you can share with each other and keep each other on track.

May God bless MooMoo and help her persevere in her journey of faith with daily consistent prayers.

* Some prayer quotes that MooMoo like...

“Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.” ― Mahatma Gandhi

“Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.” ― Mother Teresa

“Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one” ― Bruce Lee

Starting a New Journey of Faith

Guess all that have been happening lately have kinda put MooMoo's usual routine of life a bit upside down.  At one point of time, MooMoo felt she was going down wards in the spiral of darkness and if she just let go of everything, she would have just slipped and fall deeply to the endless pit.

MooMoo have been doing much thinking lately and she decided to do something about it.  MooMoo knows that if she does not take charge of her own life, she will be kept hostages in her life, as her life will take charge of her.  She just gotta make all the changes she needs whether she likes it or not.  All she got to do is just to make the very 1st step and start a new journey.

Changes is never easy and it usually makes people uncomfortable.  It requires a lot of perseverance, discipline, heart work and always ready to take risk in trying out things that you never do or experience before.  Not all things may turn out well but at least if it didn't turn out as expected, you have failed trying and not ended up regretting not doing anything at all.

MooMoo did something out of the norm last night.  MooMoo actually went to meet up with a friend's friend and followed her to join a Cell Group meeting with a bunch of strangers.  MooMoo felt that she should start working on her spiritual life and this time, she should be taking actions instead of just saying it over and over but never do anything about it.

At the beginning, MooMoo felt pretty uneasy as she's usually an introvert and anti-social by nature.  Hmmm... MooMoo knows that some may disagree to this but in actual fact, she is really an extreme introvert, except when being around with her close friends, whom she feels comfortable with.  Anyway, things were much better as everyone were very friendly to her.

MooMoo was not very used to the sharing sessions but she does learn some new things during the discussions in the cell group meeting.  Some of the things discussed actually gave her some interesting insights.  Well, guess everyone just got to be open and try to share more in order to learn more.  This reminds MooMoo of the saying... the more you give, the more you will receive.

During the cell group, the topic touched on "Accountability Partnership", which involves in a person whom you can count on to encourage each other, promote growth in you, actually invest time and energy to connect with you.  It is someone whom you can trust, be there for you and support you.  It will also be someone to help you be on track and to pray together and for each other.

This actually leads MooMoo thinking about things like "Never having enough time...".  We always hear people saying "I don't have time" or "I'm very busy" or "I'm not free" or "Time is not enough"... We are constantly drowning ourselves with lots of activities while we only have 24 hours per day and everyone in the world have the same amount of 24 hours, nothing more and nothing less.

Everyone is always busy prioritising their schedule instead of scheduling their priorities.  MooMoo thinks that telling people you do not have time for something or someone is just merely an excuse.  It all depends on whether that something or someone is of certain priority to you.  Sometimes, MooMoo is always guilty as charged.  We would really make time for certain thing or people if we really want to.

Imagine if you're a guy chasing after the girl of your dreams... would you actually tell the girl that you are not free or do not have time when she ask you out?!?  Haha.  But things may change when both got married.  Do you always find time for the things you love to do and always say you do not have time for the things you do not really like to do?!?  Guess it's all about choices and priorities.

Therefore, if you think that something or someone is important to you.... please make time!!! Do not wait till it's too late.  MooMoo really need to make time for God and prayers.  Hope that MooMoo will  commit to her choice and continue her journey no matter what challenges she encounters.  May God bless her and walk with her in this journey to grow her faith stronger each day.

May GOD bless everyone in great health and happiness... and bless my beloved brother in heaven.

* Looking forward to next week as Cutie Pie and parents coming over to visit MooMoo and celebrate her big day... ^=^

GOD's Daily Message

Funny... MooMoo got this message from the 'GOD's Daily Message' email through Facebook.

May 28, 2012

Today, God's message for you is to pace yourself.  Life should not be like a marathon that we rush to finish.  It is a journey, a pilgrimage of sorts and the finish line will never be reached.  Consider life to be more like a relay race.  As we pass through this life and on to the next, it is like passing a baton or torch to the next generation.  We will then go to our final rest knowing that we participated grandly and that our contribution to the world was worthy.

* May the LORD bless that everything will goes smoothly and successfully later this afternoon...

MooMoo's Alarm Clock

At last, MooMoo bought herself a 'proper' alarm clock.  Over the years, she have been using her phone and now her iPhone, which is not very healthy with all the radiation.  When she was young, she had a 'human' alarm clock -> her mom.  Hahaha.  OK, this is her 1st step on working towards waking up early every morning.  Good luck and hope this cute little new clock will support MooMoo all the way.

MooMoo googled for some tips and rules on 'how to wake up early'.  After reading some articles, MooMoo have decided to set the Top 5 for her own plans.  Gosh, this is definitely not easy for a sleepyhead like MooMoo, whom is wide awake at night and could not drag herself out of bed in the morning.

Here's MooMoo's Top 5 on 'How to wake up Early':

1) First of all, must remember to set alarm for the next morning before going to sleep every night.  Avoid using 'SNOOZE' button.  This is a really dangerous button, which everyone is guilty of snoozing more than once.  Haha.  Make it a habit to get out of bed when the Alarm rings.

2) Have a compelling reason to wake up early.  Plan for a non-negotiable agenda every morning.  MooMoo must make it a habit to do morning exercises every morning before work.

3) Try to limit the time of playing games, Facebook-ing and surfing the Internet before sleeping.  To change to reading before sleeping would be a better choice to relax the mind before going to bed.  (MooMoo thinks that this is the hardest for now... spent too much time on this every day... =p)

4) Avoid caffeine and avoid drinking too much water before going to sleep.  Caffeine is stimulant and drinking too much water can lead to disruption of quality sleep.  (Although MooMoo do not have problem sleeping after drinking coffee but she will try to be good... LOL!)

5)  Most importantly, try to sleep early and get at least 7-8 hours of sleep.  Establish this as a daily habit and not every other day, including weekends so that your body will slowly adjust to the new timing.  Sooner or later, it will be just natural for you to wake up early every morning.

Wish MooMoo "GOOD LUCK" and if she succeed in doing this, she will reward herself, provided she can continuously make it a new habit.  MooMoo will start it slow and will be monitoring it for 3 months.

MooMoo will start this plan tomorrow, waking up to a nice, big breakfast before work.  MooMoo plan to wake up at 7am and now it's 12 midnight.  Time to zZz.  Good Nite!! ^=^

Put your 'HEARTS' Up

Put your 'HEARTS' Up
--- Ariana Grande

Lemme see you put your hearts up, yeah Lemme see you put your hearts up, yeah
If we give a little love, maybe we can change the world

You think you're so small
Like you're itty bitty.
Just one match in the lights of the city
Walking by strangers on the side of the street
Like a quarter in a cupp'll get 'em off on their feet, like
You think you're never gonna make your mark
Sit back and watch the world while it falls apart, like
Out of sight out of mind, like, like
It's just a waste of time,
Like, like, like

Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah
If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World
I Said
Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah
Sing it if you with me
All you boys and all you girls

Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah
Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah

If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World

Wishing on a shooting star in the sky
We can do anything if we try
Can't ressurect ghandi
Ressurect king but
If we put our heads together
We can do anything like
You don't have to be a billionare
You don't have to have
Much too show how much care
Like give a wink
Give a kiss
Like give a little happiness
Like like like

Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah
If We Give A Little Love

Maybe We Can Change The World
I Said
Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah
Sing it if you with me
All you boys and all you girls

Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah
Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah

If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World

Don't let em bring you down now, down now
Don't let em bring you down now, down now
And get up and just love now love now
And get up and just love now love now
Don't let em bring you down now, down now
Don't let em bring you down now, down now
And get up and just love now love now
And get up and just love now love now

Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah
If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World
I Said
Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah
Sing it if you with me
All you boys and all you girls

Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah
Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah

If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World

Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah
Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah

If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World

Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah

Pace VS Potential

MooMoo would like to share this interesting article with everyone.... Enjoy!! ^=^

PACE VS. POTENTIAL

Pace vs. Potential

Have you ever noticed a strange thing when you get off the highway onto an off ramp or side road? On the highway you're doing about 100 miles an hour, and the speed limit on the side road says 60 miles an hour. You hit the brakes, and think you may have slowed down to 60mph. Yet, you're still doing 80mph. Horrors! You were sure you'd slowed down enough and yet you haven't.

You're experiencing pace vs. potential.

If you were driving at 60mph before you hit the off ramp, you'd do 60mph quite easily. It's because you were oh-so-fast, that you ended doing an 80. But how the heck are you going to ever do an 80 in your life, if you don't hit 100?

Because when you're on 100, even your hit-the-brake speed is a good 80.

People hate to be pushed

They want to go at their own pace. They believe they know what's good for them. Yet your life is like a car. You don't know your potential till you really hit the accelerator. You don't know how far you can go unless you hit feel the tires steaming up.

Look around you. The little ol' lady in the next lane is still getting to her destination, but she'll get there whenever. At her own pace. Pace is great. But potential, ah...now that's when you really know the stuff you're made of.

I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.--- Helen Keller

MooMoo Wonders...

$$$

We are willing to pay....
$1 for a TOTO ticket;
$5 for a bar of Chocolate;
$10 for a movie ticket;
$50 for a nice Buffet;
$100 for a concert ticket;
BUT many are not willing to part with their $$$...
when it comes to charity...
whether it's for the needy or the poor...

What costs us a meal or 2...
actually could make a difference in some people's life.
A nice $50 buffet may be just merely a meal to us,
But it may last a poor boy for 1 month's food supply.

TIME

We always say that we do not have time...
But when will we ever have time...
If we never even bother to make time for anything.
When will be the right time? Is there a better time? Later? Tomorrow? Next Week? Next Time? or Never?

We are willing to spend so much time...
playing games;
watching TV;
surfing the Internet;
checking out Facebook;
busy working; ( * for those who are workaholic)
But do we actually make time for...
GOD? our Parents? our Children? our Friends? or our loved ones?

When there comes the day you 'actually' have the time...
you may no longer have the chance...
to do what you want to do;
to see who you want to see;
to say what you want to say;
or things may no longer be the same anymore.

ATTENTION

We always have our FULL concentration when...
reading our favourite books;
playing our favourite games;
watching our favourite movies/dramas;
doing our favourite activities; checking out gossips on news;
vetting through reports at work;
BUT most of the time, we are only physically presence when...
we are praying to GOD;
we are with our Parents;
we are with our Children;
we are with our Friends;
we are with our loved ones;

Hearts and Minds went wandering off...
Souls are no longer in the bodies...
Concentration is more focused on Technology...
iPod, iTouch, iPhone, iPad... What's Next?
iDunno...

A minute of your precious time and full attention...
may mean a WORLD to a kid who waited for you the whole day...
to come back home from work...

LOVE

We care so much about material stuff...
that some things even potrays one's identities or statuses.

We love our things so much that we are...
so scared of losing it;
so sad when there's scratches on it;
so paranoid that we always keep them by our side;
so competitive that we always do comparisons;
so crazy that some even worship their things.

We handled our material stuff with so much Care...
BUT do we actually handle people's Heart with Care?

Do we need to wait till...
Valentine's Day? to say 'I Love You'... to show 'We Care'...
Birthday? to be nice to people... to remember people...
Mother's Day? to be nice to our Moms...
Father's Day? to be nice to our Dads...

Or we will only realize how important our loved ones are...
when they are no longer around?  Is it too late by then?

Random Quote...

"Only trust someone who can see these 3 things in you:

The Sorrow behind your smile,
The Love behind your anger,
and the Reason behind your silence."

MooMoo came across the above quote that her friend posted on the Facebook wall... and MooMoo finds it quite interesting.  MooMoo believes that your loved ones would be able to do so, especially your close family members or good friends who really cares about you.

* Do you have anyone that can see beyond your actions and expressions?!?  If you do... cherish them!! ^=^
