Duo Step

MooMoo had fun doing 'Duo Step' at the gym today. ^=^

Actually 'Duo Step' is an advanced Step class which is suppose to do with a partner using 2 boards. You can 1st start with Step 1 (Basic), then moved on to Step 2 (Intermediate) and next to Step 3 (Advanced). Once you are used to all the moves, you can move on to do 'Duo Step'.

Although, this 'Duo Step' is supposed to be done with a partner, not many at the gym are doing it with partner. Everyone have their own 2 boards, which is more known as 'Double Step'. You just have to be more experienced in your moves in order to share board. If you and your partner is of different levels, it would affect each other's workout.

If there's too many people in the class, it would be recommended to share the boards and it can be quite fun doing 'Duo Step' choreography. BUT, not many are willing to share board and step together in class. Hahaha...

Anyway, MooMoo and gang had a great workout doing 'Duo Step' today....

Tennis 1st Session - Failed

* Sigh...

Recently, MooMoo found out that one of her colleagues like to play tennis and she is looking for some kaki. MooMoo have been wanting to pick up tennis all the while and now is the chance. So HAPPY!!! Now, can learn a new sports.

BUT MooMoo's 1st session of Tennis was not successful. All planned and get ready to go but rained heavily.... Too bad the court is not an indoor one. = ((

Guess will have to re-schedule to another session but seems like December is quite packed. I hope it does not have to postpone all the way till next year. Hahaha...

* no tennis... no gym... end up go eat, eat, eat...

Memory Walk 2010

MooMoo went to the "Memory Walk 2010" with her colleagues this morning. It's just a 3.4km simple walk but it was quite fun and she got her FREE umbrella. Hahaha...

MooMoo reached there about 7:30am and this picture looks like a sunset picture. I guess coz the picture was taken facing directly to the sunlight....
The crowd building up at the Marina Bay Floating Platform with all their umbrellas, getting ready for the warm up exercises before the walk.

The umbrella is pretty useful coz it's very hot this morning... All ready for the umbrella mass workout.

Everyone doing the umbrella workout. Right and Left... Up and Down... Twist and Turn... Haha..

At the starting point before the walk.... Check out the guy on the stilts... Feel so hot looking at him... and he have to smile and be active throughout the whole morning in that hot suit... he's very professional... Good job!! ^=^

Here's everyone during the walk.... Look at the guy hanging all the umbrellas on his knapsack...

The sky looks sunny and blue this morning.... MooMoo sweat so much though it's just a short walk and it does not require much energy...
At last, reaching the finishing line.... went to drink MILO and collected the goody bags - just some bottle drinks, a bun and a nice notebook on 'Dementia'.

All the signs put up throughout the whole walk.... all the nice friendly smiley faces... ^=^

MooMoo like the most is the umbrella that looks like a "tongkat" and is very useful for old people to aid them in walking. The handle has a very good grip and the end of the umbrella got the slip-proof thingy to prevent slipping. Real cool... MooMoo will give it to her mommy.
* Ended the day with 6.5km run and a Step class... as well as retail therapy.... ^=^

Since MooMoo will not be able to make it to the Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM), she decided to go for the "Memory Walk 2010" tomorrow morning, which is organized by the Alzheimer's Disease Association Singapore.

Her colleagues signed her up but she could not go as it is the same day with the PBIM but now she's free to go. But Ish.. Ish.. Ish... the T-shirt color is GREEN again. Not sure how many more GREEN colour shirts are adding to the collection....

Rainbow Garden

MooMoo's company had this "Let's Grow Together" Garden competition and MooMoo have submitted a garden from her section. We were all given some cactus plants and the rest of the stuff would be from ourselves and recommended to be recycled stuffs.

With the limited time MooMoo have, she just whipped up some stuff and ta-da... she came up with this idea "RAINBOW" Garden..... just a simple small little colourful garden. The only thing that takes up more of her time was to come up with the RAINBOW itself. Hahaha....

"RAINBOW" Garden...

"RAINBOW" theme...

And there's "RAINBOW" garden concept that goes with it.... Check it out!

********************************************

Welcome to our "RAINBOW" Garden!

R - RESPECT each other,
A - AIM for the same GOAL,
I - INDIVIDUAL's uniqueness creates SYNERGY,
N - NEVER give up!
B - B. E. E, (Be Emotionally Engaged),
O - OPEN to Ideas,
W - WOW! the customer.

Life is GREAT coz... It's FULL of COLOURS!!!

Every garden is beautiful in its own ways....

To "MAKE LIFE GREAT".... is each and everyone's responsibilities.

To take the "RAINBOW" as an example.... it is so BEAUTIFUL with the combination of the 7 colours (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo & Purple).
Without ANY of the colors, it cannot form as a rainbow. And each individual colours cannot shine on its own to become a rainbow. Imagine RED colour decides to shine on its own without its 6 other fella colours.... it would be just a RED-BOW?!? All the 7 colours must stick together to shine beautifully as a "RAINBOW" in order to "MAKE LIFE GREAT"! ^=^

Therefore, it relates to how each and everyone of us in the department will have to work together as a TEAM to "MAKING LIFE GREAT" at work.... ^=^

********************************************

BUT check this out... there's this department that submitted a "KAMPUNG" house garden... and won the competition obviously. Hahaha... look at how much time they spent building the house. Amazing right?!? Look at the zinc roof.... the house is so real... and the garden is big. Hahaha...

"KAMPONG" Garden...

* well it's the fun of it... great efforts come great winnings.... ^=^

Singapore Marathon 2010

This is MooMoo's 1st time running the 'Standard Chartered Marathon' in Singapore but will only be doing the 10km. Every year, MooMoo will be taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) which falls on the same day as the marathon.

Just went to collect the race pack at Singapore Expo last night with Piggy. The whole collection was very well organized. They have splitted the participants into multiple different slots to avoid congestions as there are about 60K participants.

MooMoo helped some of her friends' collected the race packs as well and the Kids' race pack is sooo cute... I like the imprinted 2 little kids on the bag and the running-T. ^=^

Cutie Pack... Imagine Cutie Pie running with me... so cute!!!

Here's MooMoo's Running-T... expected the white one in the poster but it's blue and GREEN Again?!? MooMoo like 'EVEN' numbers on her bib... hehehe....

Here's all the goodies in the racepack... Nice to be given up front... quite a nice goody bag....

They even give out a 'limited edition' NETS-FlashPay card.... cool...

* 2 more weeks to go.... the run will be on 5th December 2010 (Sun)... it will be Ms. Mo's 1st Full Marathon... ALL THE BEST 2 her!!! I'm sure she can do it!!! ^=^

New Workout Schedule

MooMoo had recently altered her weekly workout schedule due to some reasons.

Initially, it feels kinda not very right as every week MooMoo seems to be doing the same workout over and over... especially her FAVOURITE STEP class. ^=^

Well, after awhile, it doesn't seem that bad after all. Maybe this change will do MooMoo good in some ways. She can workout more on other parts of her body by doing more Abs work, Balance and Pilates, instead of spending so much time stepping.

Other than that, she can also varies her exercises as doing the same exercises over a long period of time will not get her any fitter. Maybe if possible, MooMoo should slot in some time for YOGA and she needs to start back her every Thursday swimming routine with Ms. Mo. MooMoo needs to work towards her 'Diving License' in order to go diving trips with Ms. Mo.

Averagely, MooMoo do at least 12 hours of exercises per week. Is that just nice or too much?!? Maybe, she should consider becoming a gym instructor since she spent so much time there. Hahaha... ^=^

* Sometimes, MooMoo wish she can erase some parts of her unwanted memories... *sigh... Mon Bluess creeping in dy....

Quote: Karma

"Treat yourself the way you want to be treated."
--- Natasa Porter

I believe that the statement above is quite true. It is so 100% true especially if you treat people badly. Most of the time, if you treat people badly, people just tend to treat you badly in return. BUT... is is not 100% true that if you treat people nicely, in return people treat you nice.

Well, it doesn't mean that people treat you badly, you have to treat people badly. We all got a CHOICE of how to react to people and how to treat people BUT as human nature takes over... we tend to give way to our human values and return the unkindness that we received.

It may be not so encouraging when you believe in the above quote by treating people nicely and expecting people to treat you back nicely... but sometimes some people just fail your expectations.

Therefore, we should treat people nicely without expecting anything in return. Then, we will not get disappointed and we have done our part well without failing our ownself. How other people react to us, we cannot control and it's their CHOICE.

It's always easier said than done but at least we try to do our best.

There's another saying below... Points to ponder... ^=^

"How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours."
---Wayne Dyer

Quote: Praise vs Critism

"The trouble with most of us is that we would rather be ruined by praise than saved by criticism."--- Norman Vincent Peale

Points to Ponder....

Well, it is very TRUE that due to human nature, we love to hear nice comments rather than bad critisms, whether it is true or false. Everyone loves good news. Who loves bad news?!? Would anyone like it if everyday people tell you that you are UGLY or STUPID?!?

I strongly believe that critism can help in many ways.... BUT provided that it is a constructive critism that is true and not some mere sacarstic critisms. And not all praises praises ruin people if it is given at the right time and of course, not praising for the sake of praising without any basis.

It would be cruel of you to tell this girl who is checking out on a new skirt which make her look so fat in it, that she looks great and slim in it. Then, by believing that it is true, she would buy the skirt and wearing it everywhere she go when the skirt does not suit her at all. I think you would do that only if she's your enemy. If she is your friend, you would have told her the truth and ask her to try out another skirt. BUT some people rather shower people with only nice comments and never any negative feedbacks to avoid conflicts and making people unhappy. Sometimes, it can be good but it could be bad as well, depending on the situations. I also believe the saying "If you got nothing nice to say, just stay silence...." but sometimes, just can't help it especially if you are one who can't keep still and quiet even for a minute. ^=^

If you keep telling a child that he/she is UGLY/STUPID everyday eventhough it is not true, the kiddo will grow up believing that he/she is UGLY/STUPID. If the kid is not good looking, it would be better in a way, that you tell them that "Beauty is in the eyes of beholder" - which is quite true, where everybody have their preferences in beautiful things/people. In this way, it is a Win-Win situation without hurting anyone.

As for Praises, it is not something bad but most Asians are not used to praises. Sometimes, by giving some praises at the right time, it could actually help create better relationships, boost confidence, motivates people as well as making people happy around you. If you keep criticising your kids everyday, they might possibly grow up to be a negative fellow. And if you keep praising your kids everyday, it does not mean that your kid would grow up being a positive fellow. You cannot be praising your kids everyday for no reasons right?!? Well, if you praise them when they do good and constructively critisize them when they are not doing well by giving them feedback as well as encouragement, I'm sure they will grow up to be a GREAT kid.

So, please don't be stingy with your praises and before you criticize, think twice. Once words are out of your mouth, it cannot be recovered. Therefore, make sure that your words are always soft coz sometimes you may have to swallow it back. Else, remember the phrase earlier on.... "If you got nothing nice to say, just stay silence...." ^=^

Exercise Effortlessly

MooMoo wonders "How come some people can just do excercises effortlessly?!?"

For example, core exercises, push ups, sit ups, squats, abdominal exercises...

Eventhough MooMoo goes to GYM almost daily but she still feels very tired and aching all over doing all those exercises. Doesn't going to GYM daily counts?!? How long does it take to actually achieve such results?!? *Sigh...

Of course, MooMoo believes in the saying that 'No Pain, No Gain'... Those people that can do the exercises effortlessly must have spend lots of time training. MooMoo always get very motivated looking at how her instructors workout effortlessly during the class.

MooMoo must find some time to research on it and work out a plan for herself to achieve the goal of doing these types of exercises effortlessly. Hopefully, soon... MooMoo can also see herself working out effortlessly... ^=^

After long weekend break...

MooMoo just had a great 'Deepavali' long weekend back home in KL, meeting her parents, family and played with her most doted ‘Cutie Pie’.

MooMoo keep eating non-stop back in KL while she exercised non-stop in SG. This is horrible coz eating non-stop without any exercises few days make her grew sideways so much faster. All she do is eat, sleep and play. The only exercise she get is ‘pau-pau’ (carry) ‘Cutie Pie’.

Everytime, MooMoo go back to KL, ‘Cutie Pie’ will have some new stunts. ‘Cutie Pie’ is getting more and more notty each day and nowadays, she just loves to throw tantrum. She had been pretty moody for the past few days.

MooMoo’s brother bought ‘Cutie Pie’ this baby doll which can talk and respond when you feed her. ‘Cutie Pie’ just hates it and is very scared of it. MooMoo’s mom thinks that the doll is ugly.

Here’s how the doll looks like…. What do you think?!? Hahah…

Well, GOOD times always passes so quickly… Before MooMoo realize it, it’s time to go back to ‘Kiasu’ Island again. Time to get back to work… Both at Office and Gym.

Need to hit back to GYM to STEP, STEP, STEP!!! hahaha.... ^=^

Quiz Results ->> Shadow

MooMoo did a quiz at Facebook today and this is the results she got... to some point, it's kinda scary as to some extent, it is quite true....

You tend to be by yourself, but you love to be around people. You feel the need to protect those around you. When Threatened you dont defent, just wait silently for their attack. You feel at home in the darkness. You are misunderstood, and at first glance some might think you are a bad person, or mean, but your heart is pure. Quote: Different Perspectives

"You can complain because rose have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses" --- Ziggy

LIFE is just how we see things.

In LIFE. each and everyone of us have different perspective of seeing things. Even when you give the SAME thing to DIFFERENT person and ask them the same question, they could possibly give you very different answers.

With regards to the Quote above, please take a look at the pictures below and let me know what do you see or how you interpret from the pictures.

1) Young or Old Lady?!?

2) Half Full or Half Empty Cup?!?
3) A picture of a sad lonely little boy or lucky little boy who have a life to play with the swing?!?

It’s really amazing how we can look at the same picture and interpret it differently. This is what happens in reality as well. I guess each of our personalities plays a big part in how we view things. If you are an optimist, you will see things more positively while if you are a pessimist, you will see things more negatively.

Sometimes, at some point in our life, certain things changed and it may make us think differently and see things in another different perspective. It could be due to certain reasons that we will experience something called the “Paradigm Shift”.

Therefore, whenever we think of something negative… let’s just take a step back and try to look at things at another perspective… who knows, we may get a totally different outcome from there.
Anyway, we cannot be expecting different things if we keep doing the same thing over and over again. ^=^

Quote: Choice in Life

"Life isn’t what you want it to be, it’s what you make it become." ---Anthony Ryan

It is pretty true that most of us spend our whole life thinking how we want our LIFE to be and how it should be. Some actually proceeds to work on what they think or dream about BUT sadly, some just continue spending time to think or dream about it without doing anything.
When one dreams to be RICH, without doing anything, even if you live by 'ADIDAS' tagline -> "Impossible is Nothing".... $$$ won't just fall from the sky. Therefore, in order to get your LIFE to become what you think or dream about, just live by 'NIKE' tagline -> "Just Do It!"
Well, it does not mean that by living up to Nike's tagline, you will always successfully get the LIFE you want but at least you try... and you will never regret in the later part of your LIFE, for not knowing the outcome of something that you have never tried but wanting so much to try.
Sometimes, things just didn't work out as you expected in LIFE but at least you try and know that some things are just never meant to be. So, it's after all our "CHOICE in LIFE"....
Just a sharing of thoughts. ^=^
