Singapore River Amazing Race

Thanks to "Singapore's National Population and Talent Division (NPTD)", MooMoo had a GREAT outing this morning around Singapore River.

MooMoo was invited to this event "Singapore River Trail".  Initially, MooMoo thought it was just a leisure fun walk going through the Singapore History along the Singapore River.... BUT it was MORE than that...  It was like a "MINI Amazing Race".  It was pretty tiring running here and there along the Singapore River under the hot sun but it was lots of fun.

We were all divided into 5 teams of 5 to 6 persons and each team were given 3 mobile devices.  Each team is suppose to go visit 15 destinations as specified in the map given, within 2 hours solving the puzzles, quizzes and doing certain tasks.

We had lots of problem with the device trying to connect to the GPS and load the quizzes and information.  Therefore, a lot of time was wasted here and there.

MooMoo didn't really manage to capture a lot of good pictures due to running around and there were dark clouds as you can see in the picture.  Hahaha.  MooMoo missed her 8Mb phone camera.

We went to visit a lot of bridges... such as Read Bridge, Cavenagh Bridge, Andersen Bridge, etc... and also landmarks around the areas, such as the The Merlion, The Fullerton Hotel, Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, The Parliament House, etc.

Some random pictures taken along the journey of the race.  MooMoo's team consist of Piggy, one Vietnamese guy whom is pretty quiet and a friendly couple from Brazil.  The Brazilian guy was quite cute and his wife is really funny.  She is so sporting, energetic and going all the way for the race.  LOL!

We ended the day's activity with a Singapore Boat Cruise along the river and had a scrumptious lunch at TCC on Singapore's NPTD.
MooMoo snapped some random pictures while on the cruise along the river but the pictures didn't turn out that great.  Here's the "Marina Bay Sands" building...

And the Merlion as well as the famous Singapore's Durian... "The Esplanade"... look at the amount of clouds hanging around... kekeke...

Although MooMoo's team did not win the prize, we had lots of fun and made some new friends.  We even took lots of funny pictures and videos in order trying to win the team some points.  =p

Oh yea... along the race, our friendly facilitator actually point out to us that there's this vending machine that sells shoes.  It's flats for women.  Cool huh?!?  In case, any woman who's tired after a long walk in her heels, she can just go get a pair of flats for $20.00.

MooMoo ended her day with a "GOOD" stretch at Balance class in the gym.  It was the instructor's last session today.  No more afternoon Balance class for MooMoo on Saturdays... = (

* Gosh, time really flies... it has been past 3 months since MooMoo last shaved... 2 more months to go and MooMoo will welcome another fresh New Year... Nov & Dec is just so very packed with LOTS of stuff... hope everything will falls in place nicely... ^=^
