3km in 45 mins?!?

MooMoo did the Best Friend Run 2011 with Ms. Mo, Mrs. Chicky and Mrs. Chicky's mommy today. The weather was pretty good BUT the run was a bit disappointing. MooMoo thought of testing out her new PEGASUS 28's performance for its 1st official run but the timing sucks due to some technical errors. =p

Overall, the run was OK BUT the volunteers at the U-Turn point was late and most of the runners over-shoot and missed the U-Turn and there was not much signage. For the 10km runners, all are supposed to do 2 loops while the 15km runners to do 3 loops. By the time MooMoo and Ms. Mo realized it and turned back it was kinda too late. It was pretty de-motivating when MooMoo saw the 3km marking and it was already past 45 mins from the starting time. = ((

While running the 1st loop, the drinking booth was not even ready. Can you believe it?!? MooMoo was like dying of thirst in the hot sun as we started the run about 7:50am. And at 5km distance, they gave out small bottle of drinking water and MooMoo didn't realize that they gave it out without the bottle cap. MooMoo spilt some water on herself running with it. MooMoo requested for the cap at the next drinking booth. After running for an hour, MooMoo 'tak tahan' already, went to buy herself a bottle of cold 100 plus. It really works wonder... without the 100 plus, think she would just give up already.

The doggies are all so cute. Some of the doggies almost died running the 2km. MooMoo saw one poor doggy panting hard at the end of the run and all four legs were shaking terribly. What a torture to them... Ms. Mo was saying that the doggies are so obedient... running together with their master. Hmm... I don't think some of the doggies would love this running event if they were not forced to run. Hahaha... Mrs. Chicky saw some doggies were reluctant to run at the starting line when their master pulled them along.

There are some doggies which are really fit. There's this dog that belong to this 'angmo' actually ran 10km with the master instead of the 2km. GENG!!! And check out this doggie... so cute ya...wearing Adidas running top... ^=^

This is how the finisher medal look like... nothing fancy but at least there's a finisher medal and there's a finisher T - plain white T with a small BestFriendRun logo at the side.


* Did more than 10km this morning and timing definitely out... so sad...think the 15km people almost did half marathon already... hahaha.... Hope it will be a better one the next run. Mrs. Chicky and her mommy completed their 1st 5km in 45 mins.... Can you believe it?!? It's the SAME timing for MooMoo to complete her 3km... Arrgghhh!!!! This will be the 1st and last time for this event. =p
