MooMoo always thought that the "Tai Ee Lung" (read in Cantonese), in direct translation is Big Ear Hole, a.k.a. Ah Long are all in drama and will never encounter them. The other day when MooMoo reached home and took off her shoes, she noticed a red folded card under her shoe rack. When she opened up the card, she was shocked to see the vulgar, threatening message in there saying that if don't pay up, will burn down the house.
MooMoo quickly informed her landlady about it and her landlady helped to report to police. Apparently, the guy that the "Ah Long" was looking for was the previous owner of the HDB flat.
My colleagues were even laughing at the note saying that, how come the "Ah Long" print and cut so nicely, as well as paste it nicely like a greeting card. It does not look like a threatening note. The funny thing is that it is stated that you can only call them between 6-9pm.
The police in Lion City is pretty efficient. After a couple of days reporting, 2 casual wear policemen appeared at MooMoo's doorsteps. They gave MooMoo the contact stickers, to call them if there's any suspicious people around the neighbourhood. They even informed the surrounding neighbours to look out for suspicious people and call them if required.
Well, MooMoo really could not be bothered with all these at this time. Anyway, MooMoo is sure that they will not be successful in burning down the house as her neighbours are always at home. If they were to burn down MooMoo's house, her neighbours will definitely be affected.
