This morning, MooMoo almost snooze all the way in bed... forced herself out of bed at 5:40am. MooMoo suppose to wake up latest by 5:30am and get out of the house by 6:00am but ended up a bit late. Luckily, she still made it in time for the flag-off but didn't manage to go the toilet before the race. Thank GOD the weather was really good this morning so it made the journey of the race much easier for MooMoo.
Everyone queuing at the starting point doing their warm up exercises and stretching... getting ready for the flag-off at 7:10am.
MooMoo kept stopping along the way to rest and blow her nose. She was running all the way breathing through her mouth as she got blocked nose. The last 2km was pretty tough to complete but she was so damn happy when she saw the finishing line ahead. MooMoo made her last dash towards the last 500m to complete her race and took a picture at the finishing line. The estimated timing should be about 1h:10ms.
It's crazily LOTS of people at the Q to collect the goodies bag. Luckily, this year the Q is more manageable and well control.... after all these years. Hahaha... at least, there's slight improvement... better than nothing. ^=^
In the goodies bag, there's this pack of pasta. OMG! Ms. Mo took out her pack and there were so many bugs in there.... Euggghhh!!!! Pretty gross....We threw it away... Well, it could be eaten after cleaning away the bugs but it looks kinda disgusting so we decided to throw it away instead.
As usual, at the end of the race, MooMoo got her finisher medal. It looked pretty standard, nothing special about it but MooMoo still likes it. Another medal to add to the collection.
This year's goodies bag is a bit disappointing.... compared to previous year. The running T this year is also a bit disappointing. Anyway, MooMoo enjoyed her race after all although she's still a bit sick. Hope her flu and cough goes away soon.... Shoo!!! Shoo!!! Need to get well before she goes back to visit Cutie Pie...
* Nice 'Running Quotes' to share....
"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."
--- PattiSue Plumer, U.S. Olympian "Believe that you can run farther or faster. Believe that you're young enough, old enough, strong enough, and so on to accomplish everything you want to do. Don't let worn-out beliefs stop you from moving beyond yourself."
--- John Bingham, running speaker and writer"Whether you believe you can or believe you can't, you're probably right."
